I am over 18Bouzy Rouge Hotel is seeking an experienced Sous Chef, passionate about Mediterranean/Spanish cuisine to join the culinary team at our upscale restaurant in the heart of Richmond, VIC. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role supporting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation and service. This is a full-time, ongoing position.
What you'll be doing
Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
Prepare and execute a variety of traditional and modern tapas dishes
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentations and consistency
Lead, mentor and inspire the kitchen team
Manage inventory, ordering and kitchen organization
Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards always met
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 year's experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent culinary skills and a deep understanding of food preparation and presentation techniques
Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to delivering high-quality food
